Stainforth 4 All – Refurbishment of Library Official Opening Launch

An amazing two days filming! What a difference in the atmosphere from just five months ago!

The anger has been channelled into positive action – increase in volunteers, fund raising events, community projects e.g. women’s group, community garden, healthy eating project, pop-in cafe, children’s outings, drug & alcohol centre, involvement of local businesses to make positive contributions to benefit the community.

On the second day, the library, which had been totally renovated by volunteers, was relaunched. Interviews with: Rt Hon. Ed Miliband MP; Cllr. Ros Jones CBE Mayor of Doncaster; members of Stainforth Council; Stainforth Community Library Management team; key businessmen showing how they are making a difference in their town; Aspire Drug & Alcohol Unit; any other members of the community who wished to make a point.

We are looking forward to JULY 26th 2017 when we shall be returning for the final part of the documentary to film all the improvements and progress that has been made. Also there will be a celebration of the town’s success with a ‘Party in the Park’.
